Supporting Dynamic Policy Change Using CORBA System Management Facilities

چکیده
Automation of management tasks is an effective counter-measure to the growingcomplexity of distributed systems. An increasingly popular view redefines the role of the management system to include automated validation and enforcement of policy. This research proposes an architecture for a policy-driven management system which can adapt dynamically to policy change. We show how this architecture can be implemented in a CORBA distributed object computing environment on top of the recently adopted System Management Common Management Facilities.

Using Reflexivity to Interface with CORBA
Most bindings to CORBA are based on the construction of stubs, which translate a language call into a CORBA invocation. This paper shows an alternative way to build a binding, using the reflexive facilities of an interpreted language. Like other CORBA bindings, this binding allows a program to manipulate CORBA objects in the same way it manipulates local objects. Unlike conventional bindings, h...
متن کاملA CSCW Supporting Platform: Providing General Services for Cooperation
In this paper we propose a CORBA based CSCW supporting platform which is a convenient environment for constructing CSCW systems. The platform provides general services as the infrastructure of CSCW systems. When developing cooperation applications for different purposes, besides considering the unique features each application requires, we have to deal with many functions needed by almost all t...
متن کاملUsing CORBA to integrate manufacturing cells to a virtual enterprise
It is critical in today’s enterprises that manufacturing facilities are not isolated from design, planning, and other business activities and that information flows easily and bidirectionally between these activities. It is also important and cost-effective that COTS (commercial-off-the-shelf) software, databases, and corporate legacy codes are well integrated in the information architecture. F...
متن کاملPractical Explicit Binding Interface for Supporting Multiple Transport Protocols in a CORBA System
This paper reports supporting dynamic transport selection in omniORB2, which is a CORBA 2.0 compliant CORBA system that has been developed at AT&T Laboratories, Cambridge. We describe our design and implementation of supporting dynamic transport protocol selection in our system, and some initial experiments with the system. In our approach, IIOP can be selected for ensuring interoperability bet...
متن کاملGlobal Economic Policy Uncertainty (GEPU) and Non-Performing Loans (NPL) in Iran\'s Banking System: Dynamic Correlation using the DCC-GARCH Approach
The aim of this article is to investigate the dynamic correlation between the Global Economic Policy Uncertainty index (GEPU) and Non-Performing Loans (NPL) in Iran. The relationship between economic uncertainty and banking performance indices is significant because of the systemic importance of banks in every economy. We evaluated this relationship in this developing country, especially under ...
